The lands of the town of Primorsko have been inhabited since ancient times. Numerous finds of ceramic vessels prove that as early as the third century BC. there was a connection with the peoples of Crete, Troy, Egypt and others. This settlement was opened in 2003. and is defined as the earliest Thracian megalithic sanctuary discovered so far in Southeastern Thrace and the Black Sea coast. The discovered material proves that the Sanctuary was visited exclusively by the Thracians. It is associated with the cult of fertility, the Mother Goddess and the Orphic initiation and immortality of the Hero. The large pieces of rock are partially processed by human hands and installed on site, and the stone slabs and blocks are arranged in unique shapes. Stone circles and tubs are carved into the flat rocks. The residential building and the cult hearths complement the evidence of human activity in these lands. The sanctuary is at the highest point above the residence with visibility to the entire bay. It can only be reached by jeep.
The dimensions of the stone, which rests on only two points on another huge stone, are 12 meters high and 9 meters long. He has been here for nearly 5,000 years. And it is only a small part of the two circles - one with 80, the other with 120 meters in diameter, but still not fully disclosed. There are also natural rocks, but most are brought and arranged here. The megalithic sanctuary was used for sacrifices to the sun god. According to archaeologists, the sanctuary was destroyed by the arrival of the first Christians in the year 400.
