Arkutino Reserve is a swamp - lagoon, whose vegetation is made of reeds, rushes and white water lilies. Sea Wormwood Reserve is famous for its rich deposit of sea wormwood, which is used in the pharmaceutical industry.
The swamp is part of the Ropotamo Reserve. The swamp is separated from the sea by sand dunes, and a sand lily grows on the beach. The beach opposite the swamp is also called Arkutino.
From the bay there is a beautiful view of the island of St. Thomas - the only place in Bulgaria where you can find wild cacti.
